TASTING NOTES
Antinori’s Tignanello has an intense ruby red color. On the nose, clear aromas of cherry and small berries emerge which are combined with balsamic hints of mint and notes of chocolate and dark spices. On the palate it is harmonious and supported by a smooth tannic texture that combines with a well-integrated freshness and an elegant minerality that persists in the long finish.
We are facing a legendary wine that cannot be missing from any connoisseur’s cellar. In fact, Tignanello, in addition to enjoying international fame, holds a number of important records: it was the first Sangiovese to be aged in barriques, as well as the first modern red to be blended with non-traditional vines such as Cabernet. Finally, it was among the first Chianti Classico reds not to include the use of white grapes. It is produced only in the best years.
